Individuals with a Swedish personal ID number, and who are over 18 years of age, may register an account digitally here on our website. See Instructions.
Account registration may also be carried out by visiting a branch office of Swedbank and the savings banks.
Register your account in the account register
When you register your account with our account register, you will receive payments from companies, municipalities and authorities, directly to your account. The money is paid via Swedbank's salary and payment system (SUS). You can also redeem your money order that you received in your mailbox.
Register your account and redeem money orders online
Register your account with BankID and you will receive your payment within 2 banking days.
Register your account to the account register
- Register your account with BankID and it will be active for deposit within 2 business days
- If you are over 18 years of age, you can register an account. If you have a youth account with us, you first need to upgrade it to a private account.
- You can register an account from any Swedish bank and registering an account does not mean that you become a customer with Swedbank.
Redeeming a money order online
- Individuals over the age of 18 can redeem cash money orders/money orders online
- Your personal ID number needs to be printed on the money order
- Authenticate yourself using BankID or security token
- IMPORTANT! The money order may only be redeemed online if it is issued by Swedbank or the savings banks.

- After logging in, the existing, connected account is displayed
- If your account is missing or you want to change your account connection, add your account.

- Log in to your Swedbank or savings bank app
- Click on Customer Service in the top right menu
- Click on "Chat with us" in the middle of the page
- Type in the keyword "account notification"
How to register your account with the account register
You do not have a BankID
If you don't have a BankID, you can register your account with an ID card at one of our branch offices.
You are under 18 years of age
If you are under 18 years of age, you can apply for an account, accompanied by a parent/guardian, at one of our branch offices.
When you turn 18
If you have a youth account with us, you need to upgrade it to a private account in order to register your account digitally with the account register. You are welcome to visit one of our branch offices where we can help you.
You have an account in a foreign bank
If you want to register your account in a foreign bank, you can do so at one of our branch offices. However, first check that the company you are receiving money from can make foreign payments.
You have a coordination number
If you have a coordination number instead of a personal ID number, you can apply for your account digitally without an e-identification. If you have an account with us, the account will be active for deposit within two business days. Otherwise, it may take up to three business days.
